Prizes
There are so many ways to win!
Small prizes and gifts are given away throughout the school year to any student 'caught' wearing their seatbelt. Coupons and gift certificates for local area restaurant are among the favorite prizes. You never know when or where, so wear your seat belt and be prepared!
Every quarter a contract is drawn from each school to win slightly larger prizes, so get those contracts in! If you don't have a signed contract, then you can't win. Who doesn't need a free gas card or lunch?!?
At the end of each school year, a banquet is held. Operation Click student committee members from each school plus teachers, parents, sponsors, police officials, school officials, etc. gather for lunch and awards program. There are t-shirts and door prizes for all that attend. It is here that one lucky student goes home with a NEW CAR! The finalists for the car will have already been drawn and notified. How many finalists your school gets depends on the overall seatbelt compliance rate for your school. The finalists will draw a key and only one of those keys will start the car. The finalists that don't go home with a car will receive a great consolation prize package that generally includes things like cell phones, remote car starts, certificates for oil changes, etc.
All of our prizes are donated by local businesses or purchased with funds given by local companies, individuals, and service groups. Check out the sponsors page and remember to thank them next time you visit their business.
